NHL Playoffs Schedule Monday April 26: Alex Ovechkin and Capitals Aim for Second Round Berth, Bruins and Blackhawks Look for the Same

The NHL playoffs will feature three big games on Monday evening with three teams on the verge of punching their ticket to the second round.

Alex Ovechkin has his Washington Capitals on the brink of a second round berth but they’ve been involved in a real battle with the Montreal Canadiens who pulled to 3-2 after a Game 5 victory in Washington. Game 6 will be played in Montreal and the Canadiens already know they can win on home ice.

The Boston Bruins will be playing with a sense of urgency on Monday as they are at home against the Buffalo Sabres. While the Bruins are up 3-2 in the series they don’t want to let the Sabres force a Game 7 in Buffalo.

Chicago pulled off a huge win in Game 5 of their series with the Nashville Predators to take a 3-2 advantage and can now end the series on the road. The Blackhawks have found themselves in fight throughout with no win coming easy and would love to catch a breather with a Game 6 win.
