Andrew Dezio Body Found

The body of a missing New York teen Andrew Dezio was found this morning. Dezio, a 15-year-old sophomore at Penfield High School, left his father’s home in Perinton on December 23 after having an argument. After Dezio failed to come home, family members called police on December 24.

Deputies began searching for Dezio using police dogs, officers on horse back, helicopters and all terrain vehicles. The teen was found after police tracked his last cell phone signal to the nearest cell tower. They began searching the area and found Dezio’s body. He was wearing the same clothes he left his house in, blue jeans and a thin white t-shirt.

Monroe County Sheriff Patrick O’Flynn said the clothing was not warm enough for this time of year. He added that there was no sign of foul play.

Crime Scene Investigators and the Medical Examiner’s were at the scene when Dezio’s body was found.
