John McCain will be looking to ride his New Hampshire primary victory into the South on Thursday as the Republican presidential candidates gather at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center for the South Carolina Republican Presidential Candidates Debate to be broadcast on FOX News.
The latest Rasmussen Reports poll has Mike Huckabee holding a 7 percent advantage over McCain (28 percent/21percent) but that could change quickly as the Arizona senator continues to build momentum from New Hampshire.
While Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson and Rudy Giuliani have established some degree of support in South Carolina, Thursday’s debate could be pivotal for Ron Paul who is polling in the low single-digits in the state.
Left of the last FOX News forum prior to the New Hampshire primary, Paul will be taking part Thursday and will once again look to separate himself from the pack with his stance on Iraq, immigration, taxes, and health care.
