Maria Lauterbach, Pregnant Marine, Missing

Lauterbach’s mother said her daughter, who is nearly 8 months pregnant, was supposed to testify about an incident that happened on Camp Lejeune base where she worked. It is unclear what Lauterbach was supposed to testify about or if it had anything to do with her disappearance.

“There are several findings and pieces of evidence that have been discovered that cause law enforcement to be concerned with the circumstance surrounding Maria’s disappearance,” said the Onslow County sheriff’s department in a statement.
