Bill Richardson Drops out of Democratic Presidential Race

Bill Richardson has ended his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination after failing to gain any momentum in a campaign that saw him struggle in the recent Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary.

Richardson, governor of New Mexico, had been trailing Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John Edwards by wide margins in several state polls.

During his announcement Richardson praised the Democratic candidates put refrained from endorsing any of them.
