Bill Clinton Says Barack Obama “Might Win” Democratic Nomination

On Friday Bill Clinton seemed to suggest that Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama had a shot at knocking off his wife Hillary Clinton in the race for party’s nomination.

Calling into Al Sharpton’s radio program on Friday, Bill Clinton noted Barack had “put together a great campaign. It’s clearly not a fairy tale, it’s real.” The former two-term President went on to say Barack “might win.”

Clinton had taken some heat for what many felt was a shot at Obama’s presidential campaign when he likened the Illinois senator’s run to a fairy tale.

During his conversation with Sharpton the “fairy tale” was brought to discussion and Clinton tried to clarify, saying “I was addressing a specific argument. That doesn’t have anything to do with my respect for him as a person or as a political figure.”
