Montana Avalanche Kills Two at Whitefish Mountain Resort

At least two skiers were killed at the Whitefish Mountain Resort on Sunday after a massive avalanche tumbled down Fiberglass Hill.

While the two backcountry skiers were believed to be dead, there have been conflicting reports as to whether there were any other skiers buried in the avalanche. More than 100 rescuers were searching the slide area of the avalanche which was believed to be several hundred feet wide.

Whitefish Mountain Resort is located in Whitefish, Montana, a popular destination for skiers.
