Tyreke Evans Named Rookie of the Year

Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans has been named the NBA Rookie of the Year.  Evans is only the fourth rookie ever to have averaged 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists per game.  Not too shabby, considering that he shares the company of Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James.  In addition, Evans was the MVP of the NBA All-Star Weekend’s Rookie Challenge in what was the first victory for the rookies over the sophomores in eight years.  Evans beats out other ROY candidates Stephen Curry and Brandon Jennings.
