Macworld 2008 to Announce New Products in San Francisco

Macworld will be unveiling a new notebook and announcing a new service that will allow users to rent movies by downloading them onto their computers at Macworld in San Francisco.

Over 50,000 are expected to show up this year and Steve Jobs, Apple CEO, will have to make this year’s announcement just as exciting as last year’s introduction of the iPhone.

Mac rumors have been buzzing about a new machine that is 50% thinner than current apple models.  Apple rumors across the internet are calling it the MacBook Air.  The name has not been confirmed by Apple.

Apple news is also talking about a deal made with major Hollywood studios to download movie rentals through Apple’s iTunes store.  Although Apple has been selling downloadable movies, the new deal for movie rentals via download will increase the store size which has over 70 millions users.

Jobs will also be announcing a new upgrade software for the iPhone as well as the coming of the 3G phone that runs on the third-generation data AT&T data network.  The 3G phone will most likely not appear on store shelves until phone prices drop since the update calls for a new phone and isn’t compatible with current iPhones.
