NHL Playoffs Schedule Friday April 30: Sidney Crosby Leads Pittsburgh Penguins into Battle Against Montreal Canadiens

Sidney Crosby will do everything he can to avoid suffering the same fate as Alex Ovechkin making Friday night’s Game 1 battle between his Pittsburgh Penguins and the surprising Montreal Canadiens a must watch game.

Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals entered the NHL playoffs as the number one seeded side and seen as a lock to get past the Canadiens. That didn’t happen as Montreal stunned Washington, winning three straight including a Game 7 on the Capitals ice.

Montreal won’t be sneaking up on Crosby and the Penguins as Pittsburgh is well aware that the Canadiens have no intention of rolling over.

Pittsburgh got past the Ottawa Senators in six games in the first round with the final two games going into overtime. They are now the Eastern Conference favorite to reach the Stanley Cup and possibly capture their second title in a row.
