Genworth Financial, Inc. (NYSE:GNW) declined 5.75% to $17.05 after it reported first-quarter net income available to Genworth's common stockholders of $178 million, or 36 cents a share, compared with a loss of $469 million, or $1.08 a share, in the same quarter a year earlier. Net operating income, before provision for noncontrolling interests, was 30 cents a share. Revenue jumped to $2.42 billion from $1.73 billion a year ago. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had forecast the financial company to earn 26 cents a share on revenue of $2.36 billion.
