LED Concepts’ Backlit Menu Boards Recognized

Arc-Vu LED Menu Display Nabs Honorable Mention for Outstanding LED Application

LED Concepts, a leading developer of LED products for the restaurant and medical industries, has received an honorable mention award in the Outstanding Application Category of LED Journal’s third annual Innova Awards competition.  The Innova Awards are announced annually by the LED Journal and feature leading companies within the LED market who have shown, through their products and services, the most innovative and advanced technology breakthroughs in LEDs.   Arc-Vu was selected from among twelve entries.

LED Concepts’ revolutionary Arc-Vu LED menu boards offer direct backlighting, which features grids of low-power LEDs directly illuminating the back of the graphic.  In the quick serve restaurant (QSR) and fast casual restaurant industry, balanced lighting is extremely important.  Direct backlit LED arrays produce even illumination across the entire graphics display area, optimizing light output with no hotspots.

“It’s an honor for our Arc-Vu menu board to be acknowledged by the LED Journal Innova Awards program,” stated Rick Farrell, President of LED Concepts.  “Such a nod validates our technology, its application, and our business direction.  We constantly strive to reduce our Carbon Footprint and increase energy efficiency with our products, while also optimizing their performance.”

Both QSR and fast casual restaurants are considered “energy hogs,” because their long hours of operation can average 18 to 20 hours a day.  LED illumination saves 80% of electricity compared to incandescent, and 55% to 75% compared to fluorescent lighting.  The illumination life span of Arc-Vu’s high-quality, ION Light Engine is more than eight years in QSR and fast casual restaurant environments.
