LeBron James Picks Up Second Straight NBA MVP According to Report

LeBron James has been named the NBA MVP for a second straight season according to a report published on ESPN.com.

James becomes just the tenth player in NBA history to win the MVP award in back-to-back seasons, joining Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Moses Malone, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan and Steve Nash in the exclusive club.

James has his Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the NBA playoffs and set for a showdown with the Boston Celtics. During the regular season the 25-year-old James averaged 29.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 8.6 assists, arguably the most impressive season in decades.

According to the report James will receive the NBA MVP trophy on Sunday at the University of Akron.
