U.S. Embassy in India Warns of Possible Attack in Delhi

The United States embassy in India has warned of a possible terrorist attack in Delhi, urging American citizens in the country to be vigilant and avoid popular locations popular with Westerners.

A statement on the embassy’s website read “There are increased indications that terrorists are planning imminent attacks in New Delhi” and went on to say U.S. citizens living or traveling in India should maintain “a high level of vigilance.”

Among the locations the embassy said should be avoided were Chandni Chowk, Connaught Place, Greater Kailash, Karol Bagh, Mehrauli, and Sarojini Nagar.
