Narconon of Georgia, a non-12 step drug rehab program, has been invited to participate in a Youth Summit sponsored by “The Martin Luther King Center for Non-Violence and Social Change” and “Hands on Atlanta” as part of the week long celebrations and events in Atlanta for Martin Luther King’s birthday.
The Youth Summit is scheduled Saturday and Sunday, January 19th and 20th at the Martin Luther King Middle School in the Summerhill Community from 9 am to 6 pm. The event will include speakers covering topics such as Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement, Six Principles of Non-Violence, Conflict Resolution, Economic and Social Justice, Artists Expression as a Form of Protest, and Mobilizing Service Leaders. Narconon of Georgia Community Relations will mobilize as a Service Leader and will be present to ensure that the kids get the message that drugs are definitely not part of the non-violent social change that Dr. Martin Luther King so constantly and eloquently promoted.
Ms.Sunshine Lewis, Community Relations for Narconon of Georgia, said “We are losing too many kids through drugs and violence and any efforts that bring more consciousness to the youth are appreciated. I invite the entire community to get involved.”
