NBA Playoffs Schedule Sunday, May 2: Hawks and Bucks Meet in Game 7, Lakers Host Jazz in Second Round Opener

The NBA playoffs schedule for Sunday includes a Game 7 and a Game 1 as the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks settle their first round battle while the Los Angeles Lakers and Utah Jazz get their second round battle underway.

Atlanta jumped to a 2-0 series lead against Milwaukee and looked primed to sweep the series but the Bucks rattled off three straight wins and had an opportunity to knock the Hawks off at home but failed to capitalize on the chance. Now the series shifts back to Atlanta for the deciding game and the Hawks will look to make the most of their second chance opportunity.

Joe Johnson, Al Horford and Josh Smith have paced the Atlanta attack for most of the year and Jamal Crawford has been the difference off the bench and they will need to put together another strong game if they are to beat a Bucks team that is still playing with confidence despite missing Andrew Bogut.

Kobe Bryant was able to get his Los Angeles Lakers past the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round but they’ll have to step it up on Sunday when they face Deron Williams, Carlos Boozer and the rest of the Utah Jazz if they are to hold serve on their home court. While LA is still the favorite to come out of the Western Conference the Jazz have the pieces to stage an upset and with veteran leadership they won’t be overwhelmed by the Lakers talent.
