NHL Playoffs Schedule Sunday May 2: Sidney Crosby Looks to Give Penguins 2-0 Series Lead Over Canadiens, Sharks and Red Wings Faceoff in Game 2

The NHL playoffs are now into the second round and Sunday features a pair of Game 2 matchups as the Pittsburgh Penguins host the Montreal Canadiens and the San Jose Sharks take on the Detroit Red Wings.

After a brutal seven game series in which they stunned the Washington Capitals the Montreal Canadiens came into Game 1 of their second round series against the Pittsburgh Penguins a bit tired. Sidney Crosby and the Penguins exposed that fatigue and grabbed a 1-0 series lead and they’ll be looking to put Montreal in a two-game hole on Sunday before the series shifts north of the border.

Just as the Canadiens dealt with a rough seven game series in round one the Detroit Red Wings did the same with the Phoenix Coyotes. That left them exposed to a quick and powerful San Jose Sharks offense that was just too much in Game 1. San Jose will look to push their advantage to 2-0 on Sunday while the Red Wings will look to even the series before heading back to Detroit.
