John Stroger Dead at 78
Cook County Commissioner John Daley said “I have lost a personal friend, but this couny has probably lost one of the most outstanding public servants who ever served. He was a great president…Basically, John was a decent human being who loved government.”
Stroger is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter and two grandchildren.
