Here at The Balancing Act, we are putting our viewers on an official “burn notice”! The warm weather is here, the sun is shining, and summer is right around the corner-- which means it’s time to start protecting your skin. To help fight off the sun’s harmful rays, we’ve invited Panama Jack—makers of sun and skin care products to the show. Make sure you tune into The Balancing Act Monday, May 3rd at 7:00am (ET/PT) as they air on Lifetime Television.
Show host, Kristy Villa also welcomes special guest Kim Manna, President of Panama Jack. Kim explains how their company advocates for the importance of using sunscreen products to help prevent skin cancer, as well as the premature again effects that sun can cause.
Kim says, “You need to protect yourself daily. Sun protection isn’t something that you should think about only when you’re going to the beach. It should be a constant habit.”
According to the American Cancer Society, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the US. As the weather gets warmer in the coming months, we will spend more time outdoors and increase our exposure to the harmful effects of the sun.
Kim adds, “Screening is crucial! You should be checked annually by a dermatologist for any signs of skin cancer. Early detection can save lives.”
On this show they talk about everything from SPF (Sun Protection Factor) to UVB Ultraviolet Radiation Rays), and what we can do to be safer in the sun.
May is skin cancer awareness month and there is no better resource for the facts than Panama Jack. For more information, visit http://www.panamajack.com/ and click on the sun survival guide.
