NBA Playoffs Schedule Monday May 3: LeBron James Looks to Put Cavs Up 2-0 on Boston Celtics, Duncan and the Spurs Battle Stoudemire and Suns

The NBA playoffs schedule for Monday will be featuring a pair of games that promise to deliver plenty of action as LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers host Kevin Garnett and the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of their best-of-seven series while Amare Stoudemire and the Phoenix Suns will be at home against Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of their series.

Boston had a real shot at grabbing a road win in Game 1 of their series with the Cavs but Cleveland got a huge boost from Mo Williams and LeBron James did his usual fourth quarter magic to take a 1-0 series lead. The Cavaliers won’t be able to rely on another poor shooting night from Paul Pierce and Ray Allen and will have to find an answer for Rajon Rondo if they expect to get a Game 2 win. While LeBron will continue to be the offensive spark the Cavaliers have plenty of offensive weapons that can present problems for the Celtics including J.J Hickson.

Both the Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs are coming off tough opening round series wins but with both teams packed with veterans this series promises to be a physical battle with neither backing down. The Suns had great success with Steve Nash, Amare Stoudemire, Grant Hill and Jason Richardson in their opening round win over the Portland Trail Blazers and those four will almost certainly be the focus of the offense on Monday. As for the Spurs it will once again fall on the shoulders of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili but they have had the good fortune of seeing George Hill step up.
