Poor Grades Get Turned Around After Academic Summer Camp

As parents get a look at their sons' and daughters' mid-semester report cards, many seek out academic summer camps as a summer enrichment solution to poor grades.

Midterm report cards are sending parents to the Internet in search of academic help for their students. One place many parents look is for academic summer camps.

Learning and life skills summer camps like SuperCamp see a number of enrollments come in at this time of year, as parents look to line up summer enrichment opportunities for their sons and daughters.

SuperCamp provides the answer to most parents' needs in that, in 10 days, high school and middle school students acquire both learning skills and life skills that help them on many levels in school, from new study and test-taking techniques and reading speed and reading comprehension skills, to communication, leadership and time management skills.

About three-quarters of students who attend SuperCamp report an increase in grades the following year, and even more say they gained confidence and improved their self-esteem. SuperCamp's teen summer camps are held at eight U.S. colleges throughout the summer. The middle school summer camps are held at six colleges.
