Mayor Carmen Kontur-Gronquist, the small town mayor who has caused a big stir in her community over photos she posted on her MySpace page, has refused to step down from her position telling ABC’s 20/20 on Friday, “They're going to have to drag me out of here.”
Kontur-Gronquist posted several photos of herself in black lingerie posing on the community’s fire engine.
According to Kontur-Gronquist the photos were taken before she decided to run for mayor of Arlington, Oregon and she sees no reason to step down now despite several calls for her removal.
The 42-year-old Kontur-Gronquist was adamant about holding office until her term ends in Jan. 2009 saying, “The first lesson that I learned (since being elected mayor) is that you'll never make everybody happy. That's the toughest.”
