Michael Alguera, 15-Year-Old Stabbed in New York Schoolyard, Dies from Injuries

Michael Alguera, a 15-year-old student at Hempstead High School, died on Saturday, one day after being stabbed during a robbery that occurred on his school’s Long Island campus.

Alguera had been playing handball with two friends when a group of suspected gang members robbed the three of a cell phone and MP3 player. One of the robbers then stabbed Alguera in the torso before fleeing.

Alguera was taken to Mercy Medical Center but passed away form his injuries early Saturday.
