Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has apparently scored another victory on the campaign trail as the New York senator won the Nevada caucuses on Saturday further fueling momentum in her drive for her party’s nomination.
Clinton held a 5 percent lead over her closest rival Barack Obama with nearly 90 percent of the polls reporting. With her victory Clinton further distances herself from her disappointing Iowa finish and maintains her frontrunner status in the Democratic race.
Now the attention turns to South Carolina where Clinton will have to hope her Nevada victory translates into added votes in the southern state. Obama has been showing a strong lead in S.C. but that could all change in a week.
