John Stewart Singer of the Kingston Trio Dies at 68

John Stewart Kingston Trio member died recently of a brain aneurysm or a massive stroke on Friday.  The writer of the 1967 Monkees hit, Daydrem Believer, died at the San Diego hospital on Saturday.  Stewart was 68.

Stewart started working with the Kingston Trio in 1961 three years after the band came released their hit cover folk song of Tom Dooley.

Stewart contributed to the band for six years, recorded 13 albums, four of which were on the top 10 selling album list.  Tijuana Jail and MTA were a couple of the groups hits during Stewarts involvement.
