Madeleine McCann Case Takes a Turn as Parents Release Sketch of Possible Suspect

The highly publicized case of missing four-year-old Madeleine McCann took a turn on Sunday when her parents released a sketch of a man that may have been involved in the little girl’s disappearance.

McCann, who went missing last May while her family was vacationing in Portugal, has been the subject of a worldwide search yet there have been very few breaks in the case.

Both McCann’s parents have been named as suspects in the case but they have denied any involvement. On the night of Madeleine’s disappearance her parents had been dining at a restaurant, leaving their children in their room.

On Sunday a sketch of a man who was spotted around the resort area at the time of McCann’s disappearance was released. Another guest at a villa near where the McCann’s were staying described a man who appeared out of place in the resort town.

The man was said to be white with olive-colored skin with long scraggly hair. According to Gail Cooper, the woman who provided the details for the sketch, the man was noticed in the town just days before McCann disappeared and had been spotted hanging around a group of children on a beach.
