Runaway Groom of Australia Finally Ties the Knot

Michael Todd, 38, a former Australian polo player was known by his country as the runaway groom.  That is until he announced to the Sun-Herald Saturday morning that he finally hot hitched to 34 year old Dane Hedvig Mollin.

Todd’s friend, James Kirby, says that Todd had a taxi waiting just in case he decided to make his sixth wedding dash. 

Dane Hedvig Mollin is the face of Coca-Cola in Europe.  Her secrete to stop Todd’s cold feet?  “A little care and understanding,” she says.

Charlie Fenton the best man says that the 38 year old Todd is only scared of marriage and commitment.

Todd has been engaged four times, twice to the same woman.

When asked why Todd finally got married, Fenton said “Well I would have killed him if he didn’t this time.  Plus Hedvig’s father Klaus is six-foot-two and a very mean looking man.”
