So you thought Cornhole was just a game. Not if the American Cornhole Organization has anything to say about it. Since 2005 the ACO - American Cornhole Organization, with the help of cornhole enthusiasts at large, has worked to elevate the game of cornhole to the Sport of American Cornhole.
The Sport Center of Las Vegas is about to find out what Sport of American Cornhole really means. On Saturday January 26, 2008 through the efforts of the ACO and King of Cornhole the National King of Cornhole will be crowned. He or She will take home a cool $1000.00 and be entitled to play in any ACO-Pro scheduled cornhole event in 2008.
Early morning will be qualifying rounds for a chance to compete for the ACO King of Cornhole. There will be a number of Carnival type Cornhole Games, adding to the excitement, taking place thruout the day. If Cornhole Doubles is your game the ACO National Doubles will be played during the day as well.
Rumor has it Cornhole: The Movie has offered to give participants a sneek preview of the cornhole movie that is in the works. Cornhole: The Movie is what this tournament is all about.
Registration for the event is online thru the American Cornhole Organization or the Sport Center of Las Vegas. Registration is possible the day of the event at the Sport Center of Las Vegas provided the event has not sold out. The Carnival games are open to the public and will be playing all day long. This is a one of a kind cornhole happening that will be running from 9:00AM until 10:00PM, January 26, 2008. This is cornhole at its finest.
