No Led Zeppelin but Robert Plant to Partner with Alison Krauss on World Tour

The hopes of a Led Zeppelin world tour will likely never materialize but frontman Robert Plant will begin his own set of shows with Alison Krauss beginning April 20 at the Palace Theatre in Louisville, Kentucky.

Plant and Krauss had collaborated on the Raising Sand album which was released on October 23, 2007 and debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album was ranked #24 by Rolling Stone in their Top 50 Albums of 2007.

Tickets for the North American shows will go on sale Jan. 25.

After their show in Kentucky the pair will travel to the Knoxville Coliseum in Tennessee on April 22.

While Plant and Krauss are expected to play several of the songs off Raising Sand they will also perform many of their own singles from tehri catalog.
