MLB Schedule Tuesday May 4: Tim Lincecum Takes the Hill as San Francisco Giants Face Florida Marlins, Angels Try to Bounce Back Against Red Sox

The MLB schedule for Tuesday will put all 30 teams in action with several matchups featuring solid pitching battles. Tim Lincecum will be taking the hill on Tuesday as the San Francisco Giants face Anibal Sanchez and the Florida Marlins; Adam Wainwright is on the mound for the St. Louis Cardinals as he challenges Cole Hamels and the Philadelphia Phillies; and Dontrelle Willis and the Detroit Tigers try to bounce back against Nick Blackburn and the Minnesota Twins. 

San Francisco started the season red hot but have cooled considerably and now sit behind the San Diego Padres in the NL West. Lincecum has once again been solid, posting a 4-0 record and a 1.27 ERA. He’ll be looking to snap the Marlins two-game winning streak and faces one of the batter offenses in the National League.

The St. Louis Cardinals got a great game from Jaime Garcia on Monday night and will look for Adam Wainwright to do the same on Tuesday as they look for their second straight against the Philadelphia Phillies. Cole Hamels will be on the hill for the Phillies and the lefty has had a rough season thus far with a 2-2 record and an inflated 5.28 ERA. 

The Detroit Tigers will be hoping Dontrelle Willis can repeat his performance of a week ago as the lefty limited the Minnesota Twins to just four hits in six innings in a 3-0 win. This time the Tigers will be in Minnesota and Willis will be dealing with a Twins club that plays well at home.
