Silicon Image Inc. (NASDAQ: SIMG) reported Monday named Noland Granberry as its new chief financial officer, according to Associated Press.
Granberry, 47, was promoted from vice president of finance and chief accounting officer. He replaces Hal Covert, who was named president and chief operating officer in September.

Granberry joined Silicon Image four years ago from Xilinx Inc., where he was the director in charge of corporate compliance under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the 2002 law that mandates assessments of companies' internal financial controls following several high-profile accounting scandals that took Enron, WorldCom and Adelphia under.
Granberry also was senior director of finance at SanDisk Corp. (NASDAQ: SNDK).
