MLB News: Stephen Strasburg Promoted to AAA, One Step Closer to Joining Washington Nationals

The Washington Nationals promoted their number one prospect Stephen Strasburg to AAA Syracuse and the big right-hander will make his debut with the Chiefs on Friday. 

Strasburg posted a 3-1 record with a 1.64 ERA while with the Harrisburg Senators, collecting 27 strikeouts in 22 innings.

The 21-year-old Strasburg signed a four-year deal worth $15.1 million after becoming the 2009 No. 1 overall selection and he is expected to make his major league debut some time next month.
