Wisconsin Mom Arrested and Charged in Drowning Death of Newborn

A Wisconsin mother has been charged with killing one of her two newborn twins after placing the pair in a bathtub and then watching as they struggled to fight for air.

According to police one of the two-week-old infants died at the house while the other baby survived after a family member arrived at the house and called authorities.

The mother had apparently been suffering through depression following the shooting death of a son and told police she wanted her children “to go to heaven.”

The 38-year-old mother is now facing first-degree intentional homicide and first degree attempted intentional homicide.
