Fast Facts Highlight Natural Gas Price Drivers

In its most recent edition of Fast Facts, Energy Solutions, Inc. identifies numerous price driving factors for natural gas.   

The April Manufacturing Index issued by the Institute for Supply Management reflected a reading of 60.4%, up from 59.6% in March.  A reading in excess of 50% represents expansion.  “However, the impacts of any manufacturing expansions have yet to show up in natural gas demand,” says Valerie Wood, President of Energy Solutions, Inc.  “Last week’s storage injection report exceeded expectations by 15-20 Bcf, and storage is well on its way to reaching record levels by fall 2010.  Natural gas supplies are continuing to outpace demand.”
