The woman charged with the death of Linda Stein, the former manager of the Ramones, has been sentenced to 25 to life for the crime committed. Stein’s assailant was her assistant, Natavia Lowery, who was found guilty of bludgeoning Stein to death.
Stein and Lowery has gotten into a confrontation prior to the murder, in which Lowery was accused of stealing. The judge also issues the maximum sentences for convictions such as larceny, forgery and identity theft.
During the trial both of Stein’s daughters had addressed the court. Mandy Stein said, “Because of Ms. Lowery’s brutal, violent and inhumane behavior, my life has changed forever.”
Lowery’s lawyer, Paul Brenner, had said he was going to appeal the case, saying that evidence used during the trial should not have been allowed. Lowery maintained her innocence prior to the sentencing and accused the judge of an unfair trial.
