American Cornhole Tournament Series "Star Logo" Boards get top billing in Cornhole the Movie
Not long ago “Let’s play Cornhole” was a whisper among the most intimate of friends. Cornhole was a backyard game only played with someone you knew and hardly mentioned to those you didn’t know. Slowly Cornhole has made its way to the National scene.
In the past people would snicker just to hear the name. It was difficult to have a serious conversation about a game with that name. So much so that Cornhole went underground. Players would use the code word – Bags - to help protect the game’s image. Those were tough times. Why should a game that was so much fun have to deal with so much teasing. Sometimes in life there just aren’t answers.
Then a funny thing happened. College students, headed back to institutions of higher learning, were bringing cornhole boards to their dorms. Football fans were showing up at tailgate parties with Inverted boards and corn filled bags and having just a good old time. The local American Legions were taking out horseshoe courts and replacing those courts with boards and bags.
The more the game was played the more the game was liked. Cornhole was no longer relegated to the backyard. It no longer needed to hide behind that silly made up name – Bags. Cornhole would wear its name with pride. Soon magazines, newspapers, and internet blogs were talking Cornhole the Game while it spread across the Nation.
As the game grew in popularity Cornhole knew it was only a matter of time before Hollywood would come calling. It was a natural progression for the game of choice. Professional tournaments and recreational tournaments were now weekend events. Cornhole was King and was about to become a Hollywood star.
Clarke/Kent Pictures, a LA Production Company, made its way to Cincinnati, the birthplace of cornhole. There they found their star, American Cornhole. American Cornhole had played this role so many times before but never on the big screen. It was the governing body of the sport of cornhole and was fast becoming the go to source for cornhole the game. Clarke/Kent Pictures signed American Cornhole Tournament Series "Star Logo" Boards for the lead role. The National Cornhole Championship story would be the venue to make the game a Hollywood star – a Corn Star.
The AC Tournament Series "Star Logo" Boards are supported by a fine cast of characters including a “knocked-up” conniving Jewish Princess, a Mafioso misfit, breeding bounty hunters, and passionate Cuban exiles. All battling it out to win the coveted Bronze Sack. Each bag they toss brings them closer to personal victory and draws the audience deeper into the wacky world of competitive Cornhole.
May 7, 2010 is the coming out party for this soon to be popular movie. The game will have its Premier Film Debut across the bridge from Cincinnati in Covington, KY at the Madison Theatre. From there Syracuse, NY will be the next film launch, with a final stop in Chicago. Requests for Cornhole the Movie DVDs have already started to roll in. Game On!
The game of Boards and Bags will have its day in the sun and the Cornhole community will have its Official Corn Star. American Cornhole Tournament Series "Star Logo" Boards. Life is good.
