Steve Duplantis Killed After Hit By Taxi

Popular PGA caddie Steve Duplantis died Wednesday after being hit by a taxi in San Diego, California. Duplantis stepped in front of a taxi while attempting to cross the street.

The 35-year-old, who was known for bringing out the best in players, was pronounced dead at the scene. Duplantis was working for Eric Axley at the Buick Invitational.

He had wins with Jim Furyk, Rich Beem and Tommy Armour III.

“He was one of the better caddies. That’s why he kept getting hired. He was very confident with what he said,” says Armour.
