The assistant principal of North Clayton High School near Atlanta, Josette Franklin, resigned after her sex scandal with the school football coach, Donald Shockley, was uncovered.
Racy pictures of Franklin in lingerie were discovered on Shockley’s school laptop by a student who was repairing the computer. The student transferred the photos to his iPod and showed them to several students before they ended up on their MySpace pages. An investigation was launched.
Franklin initially denied that she and Shockley, the father of Atlanta Falcons quarterback D.J. Shockley, had an affair. She claimed she accidentally gave Shockley a CD containing the pictures “of my anniversary celebration with my husband.” Franklin claimed she thought she was giving him a CD containing photos of her children.
The investigation proved Franklin lied as the digital camera used to take the pictures belonged to Shockley. Before the investiagation was complete, Franklin resigned. Shockley later admitted to taking the photos and resigned January 7.
