NATIONAL URBAN LEAGUE TO CELEBRATE 100th ANNIVERSARY AT CENTENNIAL CONFERENCE IN WASHINGTON, D.C. JULY 28-31, 2010

WHO:  National Urban League’s Centennial Conference, “Empowerment Time: Past, Present and Future,” will be the biggest celebration in the organization’s history, with a star-studded field of civil rights, corporate, political and entertainment giants of the past and present.

 

Speakers confirmed include: Vernon Jordon, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Children’s' Defense Fund President Marian Wright Edelman, Rev. Al Sharpton, U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan and more.  Among the invited speakers are President Barack Obama, NAACP President Ben Jealous, Stevie Wonder, Dr. Bill Cosby, and White House advisor Valerie Jarrett.
