Narconon of Georgia participated in the Annual Conference of the Unity Network Counseling Center (UNCC).The mission of UNCC is to create programs for the disadvantaged to acquire the ability to enter mainstream America, and to provide opportunities for inner city youth to participate in sports, educational, cultural, and community enrichment programs which will assist in building their confidence, self-esteem, determination and self-respect.
Narconon of Georgia drug rehab educated attendees on drug education and drug prevention. Ms. Sunshine Lewis, Community Relations Director, commented, “It is in all of our interest that the youth of today learn the truth about drugs. Some may idealize drug use or drug users and never realize that they will inevitably end up in jail or dead, and drug rehab may be their only hope. We hope to educate them before they come to this sad conclusion.”
Attendees learned how to teach children the truth about drugs, and how to use the booklet The Way to Happiness, by L. Ron Hubbard, to guide children into being ethical and productive. This booklet is used as part of the Narconon drug rehab program. Ms. Lewis stated, “Drug users typically do not know or follow a moral code. If we can get these kids learning these lessons now, they can learn what it means to be a functioning member of an ethical group. They will learn how following these precepts will not only contribute to the happiness of others but to their own well being as well.”
Narconon of Georgia is an effective drug rehab program. Its primary objective is to clean up communities with drug rehab and drug prevention. They work with families, community leaders and law makers to achieve this end.
