Apple Confirms Dates for iPad Tablet Release to Nine More Countries

Apple has confirmed that they will be placing their popular iPad tablet computer on sale outside the United States on May 28, nearly two months after it hit the U.S. markets.

Original plans had the iPad tablet in new markets much earlier but sales in the U.S. forced Apple to delay deliveries to international markets. Apple reported that they have already sold more than one million iPad tablets in the United States and those figures could skyrocket when the wider release hits at the end of May.

Apple identified Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK as the nine countries that will receive the iPad tablet with both the Wifi and the Wifi/3G versions available.

To ease the rush Apple has said it will allow customers to pre-order the iPad tablet beginning on May 10.
