Matrix Service and DynaVac to Develop and Install Thermal Vacuum Chamber Test Facility under Contract for Lockheed Martin

Matrix Services Co. (NASDAQ: MTRX) has announced that its subsidiary Matrix Service Inc. has received a turnkey project valued at over $20 million for the development and installation of a thermal vacuum chamber test facility at the GPS III Test Facility.

The facility is owned and operated by Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co., a business unit of Lockheed Martin Corp., one of the largest U.S. aerospace companies. Matrix Service, Inc. will utilize the services of DynaVac as a subcontractor on the project.

The work on the GPS III Thermal Vacuum Test Facility covers engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of a thermal vacuum chamber, vacuum pumping systems, gaseous nitrogen thermal shroud and system along with related systems. The project is expected to be completed and commissioned by November 2011.

Matrix Service Company provides engineering, construction and repair and maintenance services principally to the petroleum, petrochemical, power, bulk storage terminal, pipeline and industrial gas industries.
