Ms. Sunshine Lewis, Director of Community Relations for Narconon of Georgia Drug Rehab, received the first Annual Predators TV Hero Award in conjunction with The COPS National TV Show, as the TV show Predators celebrated its one year anniversary. The guest speaker for the luncheon award event was Hank Barr, Producer for COPS television program.
Predators TV, “Know Them Before They Know You”, is an organization working to educate the public on criminal predatory behaviors. Crimes ranging from stalking, domestic violence, rape, and terrorism are addressed by Predators. Each month the organization profiles inspirational crime survivors who refused to allow criminals to destroy their lives.
Ms. Lewis, a logical candidate for the first annual award, was selected because of her career dedication to serving innocent victims of violent crime in the Metropolitan Atlanta area and throughout Georgia. She has worked tirelessly in the community for more than thirty five years with youth battling drug addiction, teen pregnancy and school drop-outs.
Since working with the Narconon of Georgia drug rehab the last six years, Ms. Lewis has continuously worked to bring effective drug education and drug rehab treatment to the local community. Her message to those in the churches, in the government and on the street is “Our families and communities don’t have to suffer because of drug addiction. There is help available. We can overcome drug addiction and its devastating effects at the personal, family and community level by working together.”
As it is Narconon of Georgia’s mission not only to rehabilitate drug addicts when they come in but also to educate future generations on the dangers of drug abuse and ways to live drug free lives, Narconon of Georgia, a non-traditional drug rehab program, was on the front lines again. Narconon of Georgia Drug Rehab is committed to help educate people not only on drug education but also on the moral precepts taught in the Narconon program.
