NBA Playoffs Schedule Monday May 10: Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers Looking to Complete Sweeps as Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant Eye NBA Finals Rematch

The Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers appear to be on a collision course as they cruise through the Eastern Conference and Western Conference playoff scene respectively. Dwight Howard has the Magic within a game of advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals while Kobe Bryant has the Lakers in the same position in the Western Conference.

There really isn’t much to say about the Magic’s series with the Atlanta Hawks as it has been nothing more than an embarrassment. Orlando, behind Howard, Jameer Nelson and Vince Carter have trounced the Hawks in all three games as Atlanta has opted to not show up for their second round series. Monday night’s game is nothing more than a formality as the Hawks have shown no heart and actually appear ready to disband and a loss on their home court will almost certainly guarantee that. Orlando won’t be letting up as they would love to end the series with a sweep and rest up while the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics continue to beat each other up.

While the Orlando Magic are breezing through their Eastern Conference semifinals matchup the Los Angeles Lakers have had a more difficult time yet find themselves in the same position, up 3-0 and gunning for a sweep of the Utah Jazz on Monday night. Kobe Bryant has the Lakers within a game of a Western Conference Finals showdown with the Phoenix Suns and would really like a win on Monday to get a bit of rest before that series starts. Utah has played tough as Carlos Boozer and Deron Williams have had the Jazz in position to win yet they have fallen just short. While they may be down three games the Jazz are certainly not the Hawks and will show up on Monday.
