NHL Playoffs Schedule Monday May 10: Bruins Try to Wrap Up Series with Flyers, Canadiens Look to Force game 7 with Penguins

The NHL playoffs schedule for Monday promises to be packed with action as a pair of teams fight to keep their Stanley Cup dreams alive while the other two teams look to advance to their conference finals.

For the Boston Bruins there are few things sweeter than knocking the Philadelphia Flyers out of the playoffs and they’ll have that opportunity on their home ice Monday night. The Bruins are up 3-1 in the best-of-seven series and nearly had a sweep but Philly managed an overtime win in Game 4 to avoid elimination.

Montreal has been the surprise of the 2010 playoffs as they not only stunned the Washington Capitals in the first round but have hung tough with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the conference semifinals. While Pittsburgh has a 3-2 series lead the Canadiens are back on their home ice Monday and that will mean a packed house pushing for a Game 7. Sidney Crosby and the rest of the Penguins would like to end the series and prepare for the winner of the Boston-Philly series but they also know better than to look ahead as Montreal is capable of pulling off an upset.
