John McCain Edges Mitt Romney in Florida, Giuliani Finishes Disappointing Third

The Republican race to the White House may have a clear front-runner now that John McCain earned a victory in the Florida primary on Tuesday night, edging Mitt Romney by four percent and Rudy Giuliani by a hefty 20 percent.

Heading into the Florida primary both McCain and Romney had predicted victory knowing that the battle-ground state could shape the future of the Republican bid. With Super Tuesday on the horizon, a Florida win was seen as a major momentum builder for whoever could take the polls.

Despite spending the majority of his time during the early primary races and caucuses Giuliani finished with just 15 percent on Tuesday, a serious blow to the former Mayor of New York City.

Mike Huckabee finished fourth with 13 percent while Texas Congressman Ron Paul tallied just 3 percent.
