Forget the Hassle of a Formal Wedding - Elope at a Bed and Breakfast Inn

Your wedding day doesn’t have to have all the stress and hassle involved with a big, formal wedding.  A variety of bed and breakfast inns provide intimate and romantic elopement packages to suit every budget. With the help of these Bed and Breakfast elopement packages some couples might even save enough to make a small down payment on a house.

Elopement Packages
Angels’ Watch Inn in Westport, Connecticut, has elopement packages for people who want to create smaller, private, and special ceremonies--inside by a fireplace or on the beautiful grounds of the inn. The inn also has a gazebo and an arbor, as well as a beachfront overlooking the Long Island Sound. “The funniest elopement story was when the father of a bride was walking his daughter to meet her future husband out on the breakwater where we marry our couples,” said Peggy and Bill, innkeepers at Angels Watch Inn.  “Dad got so nervous when he handed his daughter to the groom that he backed up too far and fell into the Long Island Sound! We were all frozen in our places, and then Dad came out of the water like King Tritan.  He was laughing hysterically and then we all broke down!”

After returning to the inn after the ceremony, innkeepers Peggy and Bill put the bride’s father into one of their guest bathrobes, washed and dried his clothes, and sent them out to dinner.

Another Connecticut inn, the Westbrook Inn B&B, located in Westbrook also, specializes in elopements. The inn’s Gold Package includes accommodations in a private cottage or Victorian guest room and a ceremony performed anywhere on the Inn's grounds or inside if the bride and groom request something more formal.  The package includes a Justice of the Peace, photos of the ceremony, a champagne toast; a wedding cake for two, a fresh flower arrangement and a full breakfast each morning at the Inn.

Wine Country Wedding
The
Hope-Merrill House in the beautiful Sonoma Wine Country in Geyersville, California also provides special elopement packages for the bride and groom.  Ceremonies can be held on the grounds of the inn, or by the fireplace or in an elegant parlor. The package includes two nights in the Peacock Room with a Jacuzzi for two and fireplace, non-denominational minister, bridal bouquet and boutonniere, small wedding cake, a bottle of champagne with light hors d’oeuvres, photos taken by the innkeeper, a dinner for two, and four gourmet breakfasts.

Innkeeper Photographer
If Virginia is on your mind, then let
White Fence B&B  innkeepers Mike and Sally Dixon help you make all of your elopement arrangements.  Located in Stanley, Virginia, White Fence B & B offers three different elopement packages.  All of the packages include high resolution digital photos taken by Sally, who is an accomplished amateur photographer.  This B & B specializes in private two-person ceremonies without guests.

Marry in a Manor
For an intimate ceremony with just two guests (additional guests are charged extra), visit
Great Oaks Manor in Richmond, Texas.  For a fraction of what regular weddings cost, couples can enjoy the honeymoon suite and a full breakfast at a romantic table for two the next morning.  As part of the package, the ceremony includes a non-denominational minister, recorded music, and a wedding cake for four people, flowers, keepsake toasting glasses, choice of location for the ceremony (Grand Entry Hall with stairway, verandah or garden), coffee and punch.
