Vaughan Foods Recalls Romaine Lettuce

Vaughan Foods of Moore, Oklahoma has issued a recall for romaine lettuce with use by dates of May 9 and May 10. The affected lettuce was sold to restaurants and food-service companies.

The recall comes after Freshway Foods recalled romaine lettuce when it was linked to an E. coli outbreak that has sickened at least 19 people in 3 states. Freshway’s recalled products have a best by date of May 12 of earlier and include “grab and go” salads sold at Kroger, Giant Eagle, Ingles Markets and Marsh stores.
