Former ‘Beverly Hillbillies’ star Max Baer Jr. is mourning the loss of his girlfriend Chere Rhodes after she died of a self inflicted gunshot wound.
Police say a suicide letter was found in Baer’s Lake Tahoe, Nevada home where the couple lived. In the handwritten letter, 30-year-old Rhodes said she and Baer, 70, had been having “relationship problems.”
Rhodes death is still being investigated, but authorities say no foul play is suspected. Baer, who played Jethro on Beverly Hillbillies, found Rhodes with a single gunshot wound to the chest last Thursday. He called 911 and Rhodes was airlifted to a Reno hospital.
She was put on life support but family members took her off on Sunday.
