Barack Obama Pulls in Record $32 Million for Campaign in January

Barack Obama raised an astounding $32 million, a record for his campaign, during the month of January and collected an additional 170,000 donors according to campaign manager David Plouffe.

Obama, currently in a dog-fight with fellow Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, will likely use a large portion of that money building up to Super Tuesday on Feb. 5. With 22 states at stake Obama is currently running ads in all but two.

While the Obama campaign is expecting to meet their goals set for Tuesday they are still trying to attract those voters who supported John Edwards. Following the Florida primary results Edwards ended his campaign.
